About Us
Welcome to the Okotoks Polocrosse Club! We're a passionate group of polocrosse enthusiasts who come together twice a week to share our love for this exhilarating equestrian sport. At one of our weekly practices we "chukka" which is to play practice matches. After play we let the horses relax at their trailers and we enjoy a fieldside potluck. There are weekend tournaments through the summer and fall.
What makes our club special is our commitment to accommodating riders of all skill levels. Whether you're a complete beginner eager to learn the ropes or a seasoned player looking to hone your skills, you'll find a welcoming home with us.

Interested in Playing?
If you are interested in trying or watching polocrosse contact the Okotoks Polocrosse Club! We do have a spare horse or two that may be available. Our field is located at the Okotoks Agricultural Society just north of Okotoks off highway 2A. A link to Google Maps can be found in the bottom right corner of the webpage.
About the Game (What is Polocrosse?)
Polocrosse is a fantastic game suited for any horse breed and rider. All ages can play this sport! Two teams of three play on a large grass field. With a racquet and sponge ball the teams compete to score through goal posts at each end of the field. It is like playing lacrosse on horseback, but with a soft ball that is bounced and passed. Polocrosse is played in many countries, such as the United States, South Africa, Australia, England, Ireland, Zimbabwe. It is a recognized sport in Pony Club and is played at very high levels across these counties.
Competition
Competing is in our DNA, and we proudly participate in tournaments across the Okotoks area, Bowden, and even as far as Saskatchewan. These tournaments provide valuable opportunities for our members to showcase their abilities, form lasting connections with fellow players, and experience the excitement of competitive polocrosse.
